“And Jesus spoke these words, lifted his eyes to heaven, and said: Father, the hour has come, glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you, as you have given him authority overall all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. I have glorified You on earth. I have
finished the work which You have given Me to do. And now, oh Father, glorify me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. I have manifested Your name to the men whom you have given me out of the world, they were Yours, You gave them to me, and they have kept Your word. Now they have known that all things that You have given Me are from You. I have given to them the words which You have given me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I have come forth from You; and they have believed that You have sent Me, I pray for them. I do not pray for the world, but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. And all Mine are Yours, and ours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them through Your name, those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as we are one.” John 17:1-11
When you worship God on the Lord’s Day, do you believe that God has given you eternal life?
Do you believe that, if God had not given you eternal life, you would have had to spend eternity in hell?
How often would you worship on each Lord’s Day if you believed this? Would you make sure that you would do your best to learn the words and notes to the songs you plan to sing before you sing them?
Today is June 29. Pella, Iowa has 18 Lord’s Days before Election Day on November 2, 2026.
Exodus 31:13 says, “surely my Sabbath you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you, throughout your generations, that you may know that you are sanctified.
So to me when most churches in Pella do not have a Sunday evening worship service, I would say that those people need to repent. 13 Years ago already, God caused 2 Chronicles 7:14 to be brought to our attention. It says, “if My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from the wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
In Revelation 4:11 we read, “you are worthy, oh Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.”
2 Chronicles 7:19-20 says, “but if you turn away and forsake my statutes and my commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them, then I will uproot them from my land, which I have given them and this house, which I have sanctified for My name I will cast out of my sight and will make it a proverb and a byword among all the people.
During the times when Barack Obama and Joe Biden were president, God gave us the chance to see what life will be like if God’s people continue to follow their own desires. People should use the 18 Lord’s Days between now and Election Day to repent from our sin of failure to keep the keep the Lord’s Day holy.
Matthew 24:14 says, “and this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come.”
The 1385 sermons of the late Rev. G.I,Williamson on sermonaudio.com includes 21 sets of sermons with more than 18 sermons that each teach the Gospel of the kingdom. But the people who are called by God’s name in 2026 prefer to hear the message that allows them to have most of the Lord’s Day to do what ever they please.
John 17:21 says, “Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given me, that they may be one as we are one.”
Romans 10:17 says, “so then, Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
So I would say that if all would hear the word of God from one preacher that Jesus’s prayer that all would be one would be answered.”
I believe that, as God planned, psalms were sung for 400 years during the Apostolic era. And that hymns were allowed to be sung after God had caused the reformed faith to be taught after the Protestant Reformation, because God taught who God is and how God wants to be worshipped. But when all of God’s children are one, then again God would like to hear all those He has chosen to be saved singing the psalms that He so long ago had inspired to be written.
As many people as possible should be taught how sing their own voice part in a quartet so that they can sing God’s praises anywhere at any time and in any place. Then people will be able to do what James 5:13,
says, “if anyone is sick let Him pray, if anyone is happy let him sing psalms.
What should a Lord’s Day celebration consist of? What I envision is that the congregation come together at the appointed time, and sing the three opening songs which have been memorized: “It is Good to Sing
God’s Praises,” “ How Good and Pleasant is the Sight,” and “The Ends Of All The Earth Shall Hear.” Seated with the rest of congregation are the soprano lead singer, the alto lead singer, the tenor lead singer, and the bass lead singer. Each lead singer will have a hand-held cordless microphone connected to the auditorium sound system. Each voice part will be sung separately, by each lead singer in order to teach each voice part singer to sing their part properly. To make it as easy as possible to sightread the sheet music, only the first verse is listed with the notes.
You will notice that all of the 413 Psalm renditions from the 1912 psalter are available with only verse one. This is to make it easy for all four voice parts to sing their part. It is suggested that only one new song
is to be learned with each Lord’s Day celebration. After the rehearsal time there should be a short break to provide a chance to use the rest room if necessary During the worship part of the Lord’s day celebration, members should be reminded that in the Old Testament only the high priest was allowed in the Holy of Holies. But when Christ died on the Cross, the veil was torn in two from top to bottom.
Also I would like to mention that these worship service packages are intended to preach the gospel to those who have never heard the Gospel before. So I recommend that the Nicene Creed be used instead of
the Apostles Creed, because it says Christ descended into hell after He died, which is a very serious error to put in front of a new believer.
Now if Covenant Reformed Church at Pella, Iowa, would humble themselves and put worship services together using the 72 sermons that God has prepared in advance to teach that He is truly sovereign
over all things, then these 72 sermons could go out over social media to start making everyone “one in Christ.”
