This sermon entitled ( The Unique Commandment ) the last sermon on the ten in a series of sermons on the Ten Commandments so it is on coveting. The purpose of the Ten Commandments in the New Testament show people that salvation by obedience to the law is not possible. First of all, we are dead in sin, and because we are Adam’s descendant, and second because we are not able to do anything that isn’t sinful. So we might think that a covetous thought is a small thing but even that is a sin against God.
