P119 How Shall The Young Direct Their Path – Hymn
In Matthew 28: 19-20 the church is instructed to teach new believers every thing that Christ has commanded, Acts 2: 38-39, “…for the promise is to you and your Children.” so we know that as it says in Proverbs 22: 6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” One of the purposes of house visiting is to see to it, that the parents are teaching the catechism to their children. Just as it is that the elders of the church’s responsibility to see that the preacher teaches the congregation the true gospel.
